NAPW honors Jacqueline L. Egan, Esq. as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Egan is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in law. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

Ms. Egan, a member of the Florida and Louisiana Bars, has been practicing law for 30 years. She began her career in 1984 as a lawyer in the state of Louisiana, focusing on the areas of insurance and workers' compensation defense. In 2001, Ms. Egan began practicing in the state of Florida and this year established her own law firm, J.L. Egan Law, P.A.

Working with individuals as they navigate their workers' compensation claims, Ms. Egan has expanded the scope of legal services her practice provides. Realizing that many people were affected by the financial woes that overtook this country a few years ago, she also works with clients who are dealing with such life-altering issues as bankruptcy, foreclosure, landlord and tenant disputes and much more. Ms. Egan received her Juris Doctor in Law from Tulane University and her B.A. in Economics from Old Dominion University. She volunteers with the St. Petersburg Housing Authority as a Hearing Officer and with the Florida Bar as a bar examination Proctor.
