National Association of Professional Women Announces Beatriz Baldan, Managing Partner at Saga Bay SW 78th Pl, LLC, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Baldan is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in real estate development. Ms. Baldan and her partner are currently involved in designing, developing and building ten ‘green’ homes in Miami, FL. This is the first energy efficient LEED certified single family home development project in the United States.
“Everything about the project is environmentally responsible,” explains Ms. Baldan. Equipped with solar panels, geothermal energy, low emission and recyclable materials, the four-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot homes are designed to have the lowest impact on natural resources and the owner’s wallet.
Ms. Baldan brings much knowledge and experience as an architect to her role as a developer. She has an M.B.A. from Buenos Aires University School of Architecture & Design and taught Architectural Design there, as well as Industrial Design at La Plata University. She eventually immigrated to the US and earned a Master's in Health Services and Planning from Columbia University. Upon completion of her post-graduate work, Ms. Baldan served for ten years as Officer of Columbia University’s Planning & Construction Office. She has also worked extensively in the nonprofit arena, overseeing the architecture and construction of affordable housing projects, medical centers, museums and more in New York City.
