NAPW honors Sandra Wilson-Cannon, M.S., B.S., Founder / President / CEO at MACK-WILSON Foundation, as a 2014-2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Wilson-Cannon is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in counseling. Blessed with a family of inspiring role models, Sandra Wilson-Cannon followed their lead and forged her own road to success. She is the proud granddaughter of an original Northwest Ohio pioneer who came from Mississippi in 1925 in search of a better life. His ambition to succeed delivered him from the life of a day laborer. He went on to become a successful restaurateur who served as a beacon of hope for the entire family.
Ever since her first job selling yellow page advertising for Pacific Bell, Ms. Wilson-Cannon has always been helping others. Today, she is still assisting people from all walks of life but in a capacity other than sales. Ms. Wilson-Cannon is the CEO of her own company that specializes in life coaching, psychological consulting, communication and relationship building. With more than 30 years of experience empowering individuals to reach their potential, her areas of expertise includes multicultural psychological consulting and individual, group and executive coaching. Throughout her career she has helped coach students from elementary school through college as well as retirees and senior citizens.
Ms. Wilson-Cannon received her Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Argosy University. She is currently involved with the American Counseling Association and Eta Phi Beta.
