National Association of Professional Women Announces Kellie Q. Aamodt, Vice President, Sales, West Region at UPS, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- NAPW honors Kellie Q. Aamodt as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Aamodt is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in sales. “I’ve been with UPS for 23 years. Unlike many at UPS, I was recruited by the company when we were growing our international service due to my international experience and education," stated Ms. Aamodt. Prior to UPS, she had extensive experience as an import / export manager for multiple companies.
Since joining UPS, “the world's largest package delivery company and a leading global provider of specialized transportation and logistics services,” Ms. Aamodt has steadily climbed the corporate ladder. She began as an International Account Executive and completed multiple rotations in operations, finance and sales. She has held a number of positions within the sales function including a corporate assignment as the Enterprise Growth Committee Director. In this position, she created and developed enterprise wide growth initiatives designed to engage employees and ensure revenue goals were achieved.
Today, as Vice President, Sales, West Region at UPS, Ms. Aamodt is instrumental in helping to provide innovative business solutions for clients. She is responsible for the sales revenue of 22 states, from California to Illinois. She oversees all sales execution and support, as well as the staffing and training of more than 1200 sales professionals. An expert in global business, Ms. Aamodt streamlines international business processes for US companies in her region. She earned an M.B.A. at Cardinal Stritch University in Wisconsin and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Minnesota. She studied at the University of Munich, Germany, obtained the Goethe Zertifikat in the German Language and has attended multiple executive leadership classes in all areas of business. Ms. Aamodt continues to travel extensively internationally and domestically with her husband and two children and enjoys supporting her community through volunteer events.
