Ms. Sherman is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in practice management. As the Practice Manager, Ms. Sherman specializes in management, communications and billing for the Center, a healthcare provider of internal medicine, diabetes and hypertension located in Cumberland County, New Jersey. A dedicated professional, she makes the commute from Maryland to New Jersey each day to manage the office’s credentialing, contracting human resource duties and payroll.
A HIPAA and OSHA Compliance Officer, Ms. Sherman is CPC-P, ICD-10 certified. She is also a member of the Physician Office Management Professional Organization (POMAA), the Southern Illinois Professional Management Association (SJPMA) and the Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ). Ms. Sherman is compliant with all state and federal laws and knowledgeable in all insurances including Medicare, Medicaid and numerous private payers.
