National Association of Professional Women Announces Ann B. Durham, Chief Operating Officer at Confirmatrixa Laboratory, Inc., 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ann B. Durham is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

For most of my career, I was in the automotive industry. I was a consultant across different industries and eventually made the transition to healthcare.

NAPW honors Ann B. Durham as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in operations and finance. As the largest networking organization of professional women in the country, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

“For most of my career, I was in the automotive industry. I was a consultant across different industries and eventually made the transition to healthcare,” says Ms. Durham. “I’ve been with Confirmatrix Laboratory, Inc. since June 2013.”

Ms. Durham is the Chief Operating Officer of Confirmatrix, an independent laboratory in Lawrenceville, GA, which specializes in 'providing comprehensive clinical quantitative urine and oral fluid drug testing, medication monitoring, and support services.' Prior to joining Confirmatrix, Ms. Durham was President of Global Vehicles and Chief Financial Officer of Lotus Cars U.S.A., Inc.

In a little over one year, Ms. Durham has already accomplished much in her present role as she oversees the day-to-day operations of the company. Using her strong leadership style, in-depth financial knowledge and intuitive problem-solving skills, she has helped Confirmatrix grow exponentially, successfully implementing new policies and procedures.

Always a champion of giving back to the community and those in need, Ms. Durham is working toward establishing a nonprofit initiative within Confirmatrix. “My goal is to incorporate a nonprofit into the company, perhaps do something involving children’s health,” she says. “I also would like to serve on a board. I’ve been approached in the past, and hope to be able to do so in the next five years for the right company.”
