National Association of Professional Women Inducts Linda Phillips Crumpler, Director of Business Development at Cerulean, into its 2015 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Linda Phillips Crumpler, Director of Business Development at Cerulean, as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Linda into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community."
Although she loved science and the lab, she didn’t want to be a Nurse, and chose medical technology instead. She found the work to be rewarding but not the pay, so when an opportunity to work in analytical chemistry at R.J. Reynolds (RJR) presented itself, Ms. Crumpler jumped at the chance. “I didn't really choose my career, rather, it chose me,” said Ms. Crumpler.
It wouldn't be long before fortune would smile on her again when the head of R&D announced the company was offering a continuing education program. Ms. Crumpler attended Salem College and received a B.S. in Chemistry in 1985. During her 30 years with RJR, she held positions of Senior Director of Tobacco and Smoke Chemistry and Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance.
In 2010, Ms. Crumpler became Director of Business Development for Cerulean, a leading manufacturer and supplier of Quality and Process Control Instrumentation, Test and Measuring Equipment. She has served several terms on the CORESTA Scientific Commission and chairs the Routine Analytical Chemistry Sub-Group.
