NAPW Announces Lorie Jendryka, Mental Health Therapist at Healthy Living Counseling Center, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- NAPW honors Lorie Jendryka as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Jendryka is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in mental health. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
“I’ve always had a desire to help others create their own happier, more fulfilling life,” says Ms. Jendryka. “It wasn’t until I had a family of my own and had experienced some of life’s more difficult moments that I discovered I could help others through counseling and, more importantly, listening.”
A Licensed Psychotherapist in private practice, Ms. Jendryka is associated with Healthy Living Counseling Center (HLCC), a consortium of healthcare professionals who provide mental health and wellness services. During her nearly 15-year career working with both children and adults, Ms. Jendryka has developed a toolbox of effective techniques, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, hypnosis / trance work, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Motivational Interviewing, Rapid Resolution Therapy, meditation and mindfulness. Combined with her exceptional listening skills, she helps those affected by trauma, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and other debilitating symptoms.
Ms. Jendryka is rewarded when her patients succeed in overcoming their fear or pain. “Imagine seeing a trauma victim regain the ability to live without panic attacks, nightmares and uncontrollable thoughts of the event(s) that haunts them,” says Ms. Jendryka. Recently, she has begun to focus on pain management, using hypnosis. “I have been using trance work with trauma clients with great results and am training to use this tool for those having chronic pain,” says Ms. Jendryka.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
