She brought two decades of technical expertise to her highly valued position as Delivery Project Executive at IBM for 14 years. At IBM, she was responsible for leading cross-cultural teams, researching, designing and deploying complex enterprise integration solutions for multimillion-dollar projects. She became Owner of Jim Manuel Iron Works, founded in 1977 by her late husband Jim Manuel, after his passing in 2012. Ms. Manuel has taken over the business with a focus on extensive leadership, encompassing not only the technical infrastructure but business requirements and technological developments.
Jim Manuel Iron Works started as a one-man shop and has evolved into a full-service manufacturing and metal fabrication company. To accommodate its impressive growth, the company moved to three different locations before its final and current location on Indiana Avenue in Winston, NC.
