National Association of Professional Women Inducts Teresa Cox, Property Book Officer of PEO STRI, into its 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Teresa A. Cox as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. Teresa Cox served in three combat tours: Saudi Arabia, in support of the Gulf War; Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).“I am a 24-year veteran of the US Military,” she said.
After the completion of her tours of duty, Ms. Cox was contracted to work in Afghanistan as a Master Supply Tech by SENTEL Corporation. Currently, her professional title is Property Book Officer at PEO STRI, which is the U.S. Army’s acquisition and contracting center of excellence for simulation, training and testing capabilities.
In her present position, Ms. Cox oversees and contractually controls property transfer, receipt, storage and issuance activities, including but not limited to posting and editing of documentation within all appropriate STAMIS. She also performs analysis of equipment on hand requirements (Class IX, VII, VII, IV and II) identifying potential shortages. Ms. Cox successfully assisted in the recruitment of qualified personnel to serve on the ILSS effort.
