National Association of Professional Women Announces Marisa Spagnoletti, Marketing Manager, Maurice J. Spagnoletti Program, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- NAPW honors Marisa Spagnoletti as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Spagnoletti is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in charitable giving. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
Marisa Spagnoletti’s career in banking started right out of college as a management trainee for Fleet Bank, now Bank of America. By the year 2000, Ms. Spagnoletti took on her role as Marketing Manager for Crowe Horwath, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States.
Up until 2012, Ms. Spagnoletti’s life was filled with career success and personal happiness. She was married to a successful banker, mother to a delightful daughter and climbing the corporate ladder in a rich and rewarding career. Then, tragedy struck when her husband was gunned down while on a business trip in Puerto Rico. From that day on, Ms. Spagnoletti and her daughter’s lives would never be the same.
Throughout her trying ordeal, Ms. Spagnoletti has endured. She has displayed strength and dignity even while caring for her daughter who has a debilitating kidney disorder. Understandably, her daughter’s condition has made her an active contributor to the New Jersey Kidney Association and other charitable organizations including The Children of China Pediatrics Foundation (CCPF), which has supported the Maurice J. Spagnoletti Program named in her husband’s honor.
There is an ongoing investigation concerning her husband’s death, which still remains unsolved. Ms. Spagnoletti recently left Crowe Horwath in order to dedicate her time to the three charities that hold personal significance for her. Her daughter has become an impressive tennis player and Ms. Spagnoletti attributes her improving health to the sport, which is helping her to overcome her disability.
