NAPW Inducts Jennifer Merenda, Director of Clinical Operations of University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jennifer Merenda as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. Jennifer Merenda brings more than 25 years of experience as a Nurse to her role of Director of Clinical Operations at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute, which specializes in orthopaedic and critical care.
“My skills and areas of expertise include operations, supervisor, compliance and management,” she said.
Among her many responsibilities, Ms. Merenda supervises a number of direct reports, from staff nurses to per diem healthcare workers. She also spent more than 20 years of her nursing career working at a shock trauma center. In addition to her R.N. from Townson University, Ms. Merenda obtained her M.S. in Health Services and Leadership Management from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She is an active member of AACN, IAEP and ANA.
