“I have been a Registered Professional Nurse for over 25 years and a Nurse Educator for more than ten,” says Thelma Stich, Ph.D., R.N. Dr. Stich is the President and Owner of Student Nurse Coach, LLC, a company that provides online tutoring services to those seeking a career in nursing.
After obtaining her B.S.N. from Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing in 1980, Dr. Stich worked as a Nurse at a number of hospitals. She eventually earned her M.S. in Nursing from Wagner College in 1991, as well as her Ph.D. in Nursing from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Graduate School-Newark in 2001. As a Nursing Educator, Dr. Stich has shared with students at hospitals and universities her expansive knowledge of nursing, including medical / surgical nursing, community health, legal consulting, home care nursing, substance abuse, end-of-life care, diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
Nearly seven years ago, Dr. Stich made the bold decision to embark on a new venture. She established Student Nurse Coach, LLC, which enabled her to continue to interact with nursing students without the pressure of monitoring grades and performance requirements. Providing online tutoring services to students, Dr. Stich combines her extensive clinical experience with her passion for nursing and love of teaching. Courses in learning assessments, test preparation and math and writing techniques, along with ongoing communication via online chat, email and telephone, ensure students receive the guidance they need to succeed.
