Ms. Mackiw is an accomplished Registered Professional Architect with a rich history of managing building envelope work and façade renovation as well as roofing / waterproofing projects. In October 2005, she joined the leading structural engineering firm, Gilsanz Murray Steficek LLP. She is currently in her fifth year as partner of the Building Envelope Group, where she plays a critical role in providing high-quality building envelope consulting services for a diverse range of construction and restoration projects.
In addition to her proven expertise in façade renovation / restoration and waterproofing, Ms. Mackiw is well-versed in the areas of leak investigation, due diligence reporting, building assessment studies, new construction, renovation and landmark restoration. Her vast experience in managing façade inspection programs includes the exterior façade inspection / remediation of the General Motors Building, Carnegie Hall and the Grace Building Plaza.
Ms. Mackiw keeps pace with the exciting changes that accompany the evolution of her profession through her memberships with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the New York City Department of Buildings’ Local Law 11 Advisory Committee, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Roof Consultants Institute. She is registered in New York and New Jersey.
