NAPW honors Sharon Hanson, IM Global Documentation Management and Compliance Manager at Hess Corporation as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Hanson is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in management. Ms. Hanson recently relocated from Australia to Houston, Texas to take over a new role within the company. Now, as Hess Corporation's Global Documentation Management and Compliance Manager under the IM umbrella, Ms. Hanson provides stability, centralization and governance across the organization. Her areas of expertise include writing and producing all of the global manual procedures that encompass system implementation. Ms. Hanson also specializes in record management, core, content and information.
A graduate of the University of Western Australia, Ms. Hanson has more than 30 years of experience, predominantly in the oil and gas arena. She also has held various positions in the mining and petrochemical sectors, working at onshore, offshore and mine sites, as well as refineries and overseas projects. In addition, Ms. Hanson has performed consultancy work within Australia.
