“The oil and gas industry raised me and I have been very fortunate to have many opportunities and experiences in this challenging industry,” says Lynn Schardein. Working in the field for more than 30 years, her most recent tenure was with Anadarko Petroleum. Over the past eight years, she initially held a land administration management position and was then promoted to Rockies Land Administration Director, where she led Anadarko’s Rockies Land Administration team in Denver with a primary geographic focus on Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
Anadarko is among the world's largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. Its portfolio encompasses premier positions onshore US as well as Gulf of Mexico and international venues.
Prior to her tenure with Anadarko, Ms. Schardein worked with small and medium oil and gas companies. The diversity of size and needs of the various companies enabled her to reach all levels of employees and provided an in-depth opportunity to be a resource for both technical and management tasks and projects.
One of Ms. Schardein's primary passions is to create a legacy of learning to help women believe in themselves and their futures. She believes oil and gas is a dynamic and diverse industry with many opportunities for women, and will continue to be an important component of the country’s crucial ability to provide its own energy needs. As an active advocate for the industry, she will continue to use her knowledge and experience, reaching out to young professionals, mentoring their career growth and providing support, direction and passion.
