NAPW honors Kathy W. Baus, Legal Firm Administrator at Kenneth S. Nugent, PC, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Baus is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
“I guess the legal profession is in my blood,” says Legal Firm Administrator Kathy Baus. Her father was a DeKalb Country Attorney and her mother worked in the legal industry. Most of her parents' dinner table conversations centered on fascinating legal cases that captured her imagination.
A summer job for a small personal injury law firm at the age of 18 turned out to be the place she would work for more than 27 years. Today, that firm, Kenneth S. Nugent, PC, has eight offices throughout the state of Georgia in the cities of Albany, Atlanta, Columbus, Duluth, Macon, Savannah and Valdosta. With over 200 employees, it has become the largest personal injury firm in the state.
During her tenure, Ms. Baus has honed her skills through hands-on experience. Her many responsibilities include supervising all non-attorney personnel, evaluating and managing the firm’s operating and information systems.
Kenneth S. Nugent, PC provides the personal care, attention, and aggressive advocacy to support every client’s needs. It specializes in vehicle accidents, transit accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, workers' compensation, defective products, and insurance company bad faith claims. Their legal team is always available to help victims to pick up the pieces – all it takes is one call.
NAPW's mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
