National Association of Professional Women Announces Gayleen Wilde, Paralegal / Owner of The Paralegal 4U, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 07, 2015 -- NAPW honors Gayleen Wilde as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Wilde is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with nearly 700,000 members and over 200 local chapters.
“I was doing property management but just burned out,” says Ms. Wilde. “I found a job as a Secretary at a law firm and moved up within the company.”
Ms. Wilde went on to obtain her Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies and is currently working toward her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at the University of Wyoming. While pursuing her degree, Ms. Wilde has segued into entrepreneurship and founded her company, The Paralegal 4U.
Taking the skills she honed working with attorneys, Ms. Wilde offers a variety of legal services tailored to help lawyers and individuals. “I work with attorneys on personal injury cases. I can request and review medical records, and prepare medical chronologies and exhibits. I help them have all the documentation they need for trials,” she says. “I can also help individuals who are filing for bankruptcy.” Ms. Wilde has assisted attorneys in a Jury Project Group, where lawyers determine how a jury would deliberate to help them better prepare for a case.
As for future goals, Ms. Wilde plans to pursue an internship with the FBI once she completes her coursework for her Bachelor’s degree. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and the Louisiana State Paralegal Association (LSPA).
