I find it rewarding knowing I am able to assure the owners and staff always have what they need, when they need it, to perform their duties.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Maria J. Santana as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Maria into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

Maria Santana has 40 years of experience in healthcare. She got started in the industry by working in the Pathology department of Memorial Healthcare System. In her role as Practice Manager, Ms. Santana is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice, including overseeing benefits administration, 401K administration, time and attendance/scheduling, and acting as billing liaison. Although she noted that keeping up with the many different rules and regulations affecting billing, healthcare, HIPAA, etc., can be challenging, Ms. Santana said, “I find it rewarding knowing I am able to assure the owners and staff always have what they need, when they need it, to perform their duties.” She added, “I look forward to seeing where we can grow and take the company in the next five years.”
