National Association of Professional Women Inducts Kalliope Barlis, Licensed Acupuncturist Licensed NLP Practioner, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 26, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Kalliope Barlis as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Kalliope into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
While training to be a pro golfer, Kalliope Barlis’ coach introduced her to neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), an approach to communication, personal development and psychotherapy. “When I realized being a pro golfer wasn’t my calling, I started using the same techniques to optimize peoples’ lives, including getting rid of their fears and phobias and bad memories so they can build their best lives ever,” said Ms. Barlis.
A Licensed NLP Practitioner, Ms. Barlis has apprenticed with Dr. Richard Bandler, co-founder of NLP, for nearly a decade. “Having experienced his work with people for so many years, he has inspired me to change people’s lives as profoundly as he has,” she said. Ms. Barlis is also a Licensed Acupuncturist and the author of three best-selling books: "The Play Golf Better Faster" series and "Phobia Relief: From Fear to Freedom."
In her role as a Phobia Relief Expert, Ms. Barlis uses skills based in NLP to help individuals gain freedom from everyday phobias such as those of snakes, clowns, spiders, social anxiety and dentists. To help bring awareness to NLP and phobia-relief skills, Ms. Barlis has established the first-ever Phobia Relief Day. The event will take place on Monday, May 8, 2017, at the George Billis Gallery, located at 525 West 26th Street in New York City. During four, hour-long seminars, Ms. Barlis will demonstrate how people can overcome their phobias using NLP techniques. For more information, visit Phobialrelief.org
“The fact that people look ten years younger and naturally glow after a session with me is very rewarding,” said Ms. Barlis. “They become better people—spouses, parents and workers.” She hopes to make Phobia Relief Day an annual event, one that becomes “a global necessity in making people aware of phobia relief skills so they too can go from fear to freedom.”
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
