NAME selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I'm pleased to recognize Mary with this important hono. Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Mary Vinagro as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. Ms. Vinagro is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in photography. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

“I'm pleased to recognize Mary with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

As a child, Ms. Vinagro watched as her father constantly captured family photos and videos. After he passed away, she picked up the camera and, years later, began to take wildlife pictures in the White Mountains.

“When my husband and I built a house in the White Mountains of New Hampshire seven years ago, I really started to appreciate the New England outdoors. I hope to capture a moment in time and share with others who may not have the time nor opportunity to experience the beauty of nature,” said Ms. Vinagro.

In 2014, this passion translated into a work ethic that has shaped her photography and given her the push to create her own website to sell her work. Ms. Vinagro's dedication to the pursuit of her dreams is obvious in her patience and devotion to capture the perfect photo. She said, “I've spent several hours at a time hanging out in the woods waiting for the right shot.”

Always looking for ways to improve her craft, Ms. Vinagro would like to take classes in order to expand her knowledge of photography, specifically in night photography and lighting. Her hopes are to inspire others to get outside and appreciate the outdoors while filling people's homes or businesses with her work.
