National Association of Professional Women Inducts Ingrid Ascencio, Photographer / Engineer at Studio MIYA Photography, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Ingrid Ascencio as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. In the more traditional aspect of Ms. Ascencio’s life, she has been following the trajectory of her career in the transportation industry for over ten years. She is currently Senior Lead Engineer at Navistar Inc., and also the owner of Studio MIYA Photography, a photography studio specializing in modern women portraiture, specifically for family, business and artistic categories.
Ms. Ascencio holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. As a Senior Lead Engineer, she takes a hands-on approach in the testing and validation of Engine Control strategies for specific heavy-duty diesel trucks. Former employers include Wyle Laboratories (contractor of NASA), General Electric, Electro-Motive Diesel and Hamilton Sundstrand.
While Ms. Ascencio derives great satisfaction from her work as an engineer, photography also provides access to the more aesthetic side of her nature, which is equally rewarding .
