The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Angela Howard as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.

“It gives me great pleasure to present Angela with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Together with her business partner, they are providing invaluable products for the physically impaired.”

OptimComfort, Inc., is more than just a business, it is a company whose owners, Angela Howard and Judith DeShong, act as advocates for individuals with limited movement. Their professional experience and practical insight inspire their team to design products for the simple purpose of making life easier for individuals affected by musculoskeletal and neurological impairments.

The team has developed and holds two US patents on the OptimComfort chair, which offers custom enhancements to the familiar “lift-chair.” These ergonomic chairs fit and support the human body in unprecedented comfort and style.

OptimComfort chairs are produced in a manufacturing facility in Plantersville, MS that was established by Ms. Howard and Ms. DeShong. The OptimComfort chair is custom produced to satisfy specific needs resulting from neurological impairments and movement disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury / spinal cord injury, and musculoskeletal impairments.
