National Association of Professional Women Announces Brittany J. Wolanin, DPT, Physical Therapist and Adjunct Professor, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Dr. Wolanin is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in physical therapy. As a Physical Therapist, Dr. Wolanin is dedicated to helping patients, many of whom are recovering from some type of surgery, heal faster and feel better. Whether she’s applying different techniques such as heat, cold and electrical stimulation or recommending a specific exercise program that targets the troubled area, Dr. Wolanin uses her expansive knowledge and well-honed skills to restore a patient’s strength, flexibility and endurance.
Dr. Wolanin earned her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, as well as her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utica Collge in Utica, NY. In addition to her work with patients, Ms. Wolanin shares her experience and knowledge with aspiring students as an Adjunct Professor within the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at her alma mater. Always stressing to her patients the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, Ms. Wolanin leads by example. “My greatest outlet and tool to remain healthy is running; I average two to three 15K or half marathon races each year and take advantage of these events as a way to stay connected with friends and family,” she says.
