Victoria Smith demonstrates these qualities every day as Office Manager at Apex Healthcare, which specializes in primary care, urgent care and minor office procedures.
Mrs. Smith is currently pursuing an R.N. degree; then she will begin working towards becoming a nurse practitioner, which has been a life-long dream. Her career in the medical field began in 2007 as a credentialing coordinator and within three years she worked her way up to her present position as Apex’s office manager.
Having come up the ranks as a credentialing coordinator in another practice, Mrs. Smith was given a valuable understanding of the nitty-gritty functions of a medical practice and its policies and bylaws, which supported her transition to an office manager position. Currently, she uses her exceptional accounting skills for payroll, compensation schedules for physicians, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, preparing budgets and taxes. She stays informed on current healthcare operations and the latest financial management technologies designed to assist with the efficient operation of a state-of-the-art facility.
