Pamela Foelsch is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

NAPW honors Pamela Foelsch, Ph.D., Owner and Director of ProfPsych Comprehensive Services, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Foelsch is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in psychological services. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

Dr. Foelsch received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She trained at The Fifth Avenue Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy in Manhattan, Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY, and New York Hospital.

Specializing in evaluation, consultation, differential diagnosis and individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, Dr. Foelsch has more than 25 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist. Her success stems from a passion to provide and implement new ideas and solutions that will help encourage self-growth and new possibilities in her clients.

Currently, Dr. Foelsch is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry, at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and an Attending at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Foelsch supervises and trains staff, post-doctoral fellows (PDI), visiting fellows and residents in Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP). She is currently continuing the work of Dr. Paulina Kernberg in developing a specialized treatment for adolescents with identity diffusion. Currently, a study is being conducted in the outpatient department of the Westchester Division. Dr Foelsch is also an Assistant Professor at the Smith School for Social Work in Northampton, MA, where she teaches and serves as a Research Advisor.
