National Association of Professional Women Announces Linda Phillips Crumpler, Director of Business Development at Cerulean Pharma, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- NAPW honors Linda Phillips Crumpler, Director of Business Development at Cerulean Pharma, Inc., as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Crumpler is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
“I didn’t really choose my career, rather, it chose me,” said Linda Phillips Crumpler, who loved studying science and lab. Since she did not want to be a Nurse, Ms. Crumpler instead chose to enter the medical technology field.
Ms. Crumpler found the work to be rewarding but not the pay, so when an opportunity to work in analytical chemistry at R.J. Reynolds presented itself, she jumped at the chance. It would not be long before fortune would smile on her again when the head of research and development announced the company was offering a continuing education program to its employees. Through that initiative, Ms. Crumpler attended Salem College and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1985; she later earned her Master of Science in Human Resources from Keller University.
During her 35 years with R.J. Reynolds, she held the position of Senior Director of Tobacco and Smoke Chemistry followed by Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance. In 2009, Ms. Crumpler became Director of Business Development for Cerulean Pharma, Inc. She currently serves as President of the CORESTA Smoke / Technology Study Group on the Scientific Commission. Ms. Crumpler also represents CORESTA as an expert on the ISO / TC92 / SC1 / WG15 that is responsible for the introduction of ISO 12863, an international standard test method for measuring the ignition propensity of cigarettes, and chairs the CORESTA Routine Analytical Chemistry Sub-Group.
NAPW's mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
