National Association of Professional Women Inducts Marina Backes, Owner of Circle B Ranch, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Marina Backes as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Marina with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Before opening Circle B Ranch, a Berkshire / Kurabota Pork Hog farm located in Seymour, MO, Marina Backes and her husband John lived in New Jersey. There, she owned and operated an upscale catering company that featured her popular, homemade sauces and Mr. Backes had a successful career as a Mechanical Contractor. Together, they also ran a small, hobby farm, where they raised turkeys, ducks and chickens. The animals' feed never contained unnecessary hormones or antibiotics.
In 2009, the couple made the big move from the East Coast to a 90-acre farm in the Ozark Mountains. They eventually decided to raise Berkshire and Red Wattle Hogs, strictly adhering to their belief in the importance of ensuring a natural, sustainable and humane environment for their hogs. In addition to offering pork of the highest quality, Circle B Ranch also offers bacon, meatballs, gluten-free meats and sausages, as well as Ms. Backes famous sauces, including Marina’s Italian Style Tomato Sauce, Marina’s Homemade Ketchup and Marina’s Cranberry Chutney.
Serious about educating consumers about the value of sustainable farming practices and animal welfare, Ms. Backes and her husband are also committed to expanding their brand. Circle B Ranch products are now being used by Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
