The turning point of her career happened in 1995 when Ms. Ford and her team were nominated by Steve Jobs for the ComputerWorld/Smithsonian Institution Award for Innovator of the Year for the Energy Sector. The project resides in the Natural History books of the Smithsonian. Ms. Ford also has the distinct honor of being recommended by the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) to assist the Australian Government in the deregulation of their natural gas industry.
