National Association of Professional Women Announces Lindsey Burns, Clincial Development Associate at Assurex Health, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- NAPW honors Lindsey Burns as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Burns is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in research and development. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
Ms. Burns recently joined Assurex Health, a psychogenonic company that focuses on personalized medication for behavioral health focusing on psychotropic, ADHD and pain medications, as a Clinical Development Associate.
In her new role, Ms. Burns is responsible for the initiation on new research locations and the maintenance of data sources. “I also manage communication with research sites and address any issues that arise,” she adds. “I am looking forward to the challenges of learning something new and I am thrilled to work in an industry that contributes to helping people lead more fulfilling lives.”
Prior to joining Assurex Health, Ms. Burns was a Research Assistant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for eight years. During her tenure there, she honed her skills in behavior research, leadership and administration. From laboratory management to daily training to preliminary analysis and training, she worked closely with collaborators, skillfully managing the various studies that were being conducted and carefully collecting and analyzing data.
Ms. Burns, who has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Evansville, recently earned her Master of Business Administration from Xavier University. She plans to use her the knowledge she has garnered through her M.B.A. studies to help Assurex Health expand its research division.
