National Association of Professional Women Inducts Cathi Theodore, Owner of Signature Home Staging and Design, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cathi Theodore as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in interior design. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Cathi into the 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.”
After enjoying many successful years in sales and management, Ms. Theodore began to look for a profession that would allow her to spend more time with her young son. Always passionate about home decorating, she decided to pursue a career in interior design and went back to school to learn all she could about the industry.
“The education not only taught me how to design different types of rooms, it also gave me an appreciation for all types of styles, not just my own,” she said.
As owner of Signature Home Staging and Design, Ms. Theodore offers expert interior design and home staging services to homeowners. She excels at color selection, space planning, furniture and accessory selection and drapery choices, but admits she feels her most important skill is listening. “There are designers who see a space and envision what they want the space to look like, not necessarily what the clients want,” she said. “The way I work is, I hear what a client wants and make suggestions to get to where we both agree, and where the client is happy.”
Seeing a project through to completion and knowing how pleased a client is with the results is a rewarding aspect of her job, said Ms. Theodore. Her strategies for the future include growing her business and expanding her client list. “My plans are to become well-known in my area; someone who people automatically think of when they have a design or staging project,” she said.
