The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Laura Zaplishny as a 2016-2017 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in tax accounting. Self-motivated, results oriented and driven to succeed, Laura Zaplishny is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.
As Director of Taxation, Ms. Zaplishny’s responsibilities included tax research and planning with the goal of positively impacting both the effective tax rate and cash taxes. Her areas of expertise include Federal and multi-state income tax planning / compliance, audit controversy, mergers / acquisitions, compensation related issues, transfer pricing and staff mentoring.
“I successfully fostered and managed collaboration across business sections and functions, thereby raising the visibility of the tax department as an important business partner,” Ms. Zaplishny said.
Outside of work, Ms. Zaplishny is involved with multiple professional organizations, including The American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the Tax Executives Institute.
For her commitment to achieving success according to her personal standards of excellence, and for her outstanding accomplishments in enriching her position with her diversified proficiencies, Ms. Zaplishny is being honored as a leader and role model for her profession.
