The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Effie Rosa as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in higher education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Effie into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Ms. Rosa has enriched Cincinnati State Technical and Community College with her administrative proficiencies for over 28 years. During her tenure at the university, she has led countless students on the path to educational success through her educated advice in course planning, registration and academic excellence.

“In my role as Professor and Academic Advisor, my skills and areas of expertise include student advisement and briefing students on college curriculum requirements,” said Ms. Rosa.

Well-versed in the areas of student development, guidance and planning, Ms. Rosa provides young adults with in-depth knowledge of career programs, graduation requirements and college resources available on campus. Most importantly, Ms. Rosa equips students with the lifelong tools they need to succeed in their studies and in the careers they pursue after graduation.

Ms. Rosa received her Doctor of Education in Adult Technical Education from the University of Cincinnati with an emphasis on Adult Learning and Success. She keeps pace with the exciting changes that accompany the evolution of her profession through her membership with the National Association of Academic Advising (NACADA).
