National Association of Professional Women Inducts Sharyl White, Senior Manager Content Development at Aspect Software, Into VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 24, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Sharyl White as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in computer technology. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Sharyl into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Sharyl White is Senior Manager Content Development at Aspect Software, a global leader in customer engagement solutions. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. Ms. White began her career in 1993 as a Technical Writer and has been working with instructional designers since 2013. She has been with Aspect Software for 18 years and in her current role for a decade.
“I am responsible for the product documentation team as well as the instructional designer team,” she said. “My team, which is 22 strong and located in three countries and eight states, is crossing into performance support and learning how to create content for the end-user at their time of need.” Ms. White’s other responsibilities include the localization of documentation and training courses delivered to the end-user; hiring personnel and conducting yearly reviews; and combining writers from three companies into one through the creation of a new style guide, new templates and new processes, “to help make a merged department into one successful and focused team.” An avid team player, she works as an interim writer/contributor when needed.
Although Ms. White admits it can be challenging to understand and manage two different areas of the company with different deliverables, she enjoys watching her staff succeed. “Most rewarding is witnessing my team make their delivery goals consistently through many trials within the development process,” she said. Currently in the process of rolling out a new education portal, Ms. White’s future goals include moving to a new learning management system and continuing to grow her team.
