In 1993, Karen Corcoran, who has a Master of Science in Counseling from Shippensburg University, started K&C Communications, the only woman-owned service center for Motorola two-way communications in the entire state of Pennsylvania. Located in the city of Harrisburg, K&C Communications has long been a leader in providing communication equipment, emergency lighting and communication services / solutions to public safety and emergency personnel in Central PA and surrounding areas.
As President of the company, Ms. Corcoran’s main goal is to provide the best communications solutions for first responders, federal and local governments, hospitals and local businesses in order for them to maximize their communications productivity. K&C Communications offers an experienced sales team, a specialized technician department comprised of highly trained installers and a dedicated authorized service department. K&C Communications has recently been certified as a WBENC and WOSB. Ms. Corcoran has received numerous awards and achievements from organizations such as the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Health Services Federation and Fire Chiefs Association. She has also been presented with the National Leadership Award (2003), Business Woman of the Year (2003) and was appointed to the Business Advisory Council where she served as an Honorary Chairman to Congress. She currently sits on the Motorola Solutions Service Advisory Council (SPAC).
