National Association of Professional Women Announces Goldie W. Rivkin, President and Owner of Rivkin Associates, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Rivkin is recognized with this distinction for leadership in regional and urban planning. Ms. Rivkin, a 50-year veteran with a wealth of experience in countries all over the world, is also an online teacher and curriculum developer. She received her Master's degree in City Regional Planning from Harvard Graduate School of Design and is currently involved with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
Demographic and economic analysis, market feasibility studies and training curriculum design are among Ms. Rivkin’s key responsibilities at Rivkin Associates. She is highly skilled in proposal preparation GIS, real estate market analysis, policy research and teaching graduate-level land use management and professional urban management personnel training. One of Ms. Rivkin’s most notable achievements includes implementing the plan for the resettlement of the Bikini Islanders who were displaced by US atomic testing and then scattered among other Pacific islands. She has held major planning and research assignments in Swaziland, Kenya, Jamaica, Peru and Brazil.
