NAPW Announces Melanie Wells, Director of Business Affairs / CFO at Pegasus Utility Locating Services, Inc., a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women honors Melanie Wells as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Wells is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. “I was a Hospital Director but I wanted a career change,” says Ms. Wells. “An opportunity arose at Pegasus Utility Locating Services, Inc., and I decided to go with it.”
Now Director of Business Affairs / Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Wells has been with the firm, which locates utilities for construction companies, hospitals and municipalities, for 12 years. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, loans and budget forecasting.
Additionally, Ms. Wells is strategically involved in the company’s current expansion into international markets and has been instrumental in the success of Pegasus Utility Locating Services’ growth in this area. “I am responsible for our continued development overseas and for creating an international business plan,” she says. As Ambassador for Pegasus’ International Trade Venture, Ms. Wells travels to countries such as South America and Mexico where she speaks to the municipalities and explains about the company’s capabilities and expertise. She is also playing a key role in the firm’s expansion in the Middle East global trade markets and its newest branch opening in that region.
