NAPW Inducts Dr. Laurie J. Wolf, Associate Professor / Director of Theater, College of William and Mary, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 01, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. Laurie J. Wolf as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in higher education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Dr. Laurie J. Wolf is an Associate Professor and Director of Theater at the College of William and Mary. There, she uses her extensive knowledge of drama and theater history to teach history, playwriting and dramatic theory and criticism in the Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance.
A sponsor of Premiere Theatre and Playwright’s Playground, two forums for producing new writing, Dr. Wolf has directed "The Authorities", an original play accepted for the NYC Fringe Festival, Marat / Sade for William and Mary Theatre and Candida for VSF / Wedgwood Renaissance productions.
Dr. Wolf received her Doctorate in Theater from UCLA. She has won the 2015 Woman of the Year Award from Forbes Magazine and the 2012 Plumeri Award for Excellence, Teaching and Research. She is an active member of the Association of Theater in Higher Education, the American Society for Theater Research, Black Theater Network and the Society for Stage Directors and Choreographers.
For her determination in achieving success grounded in her most personal standards of excellence, Dr. Wolf is a role model and inspiration to the membership of NAPW.
