National Association of Professional Women Inducts Kathleen N. Sweeney, Owner and Designer at With Good Intention, LLC, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 16, 2016 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Kathleen N. Sweeney as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in jewelry design. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Kathleen with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Kathleen Sweeney wears many hats. As a full-time graduate student at Saint Joseph’s University, pursuing a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Applied Behavior Analysis, she uses the remainder of her time to grow her business. Her shop, With Good Intention, specializes in inspirational and yoga-inspired jewelry that is designed to carry with it both
intention and meaning.
“I previously worked in the behavioral health field for three years, then decided to pursue my business,” Ms. Sweeney said. “I never imagined that I would own my own business, but it is extremely rewarding. Custom design allows me to take a piece of your story and combine my artistic interpretation to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are filled with meaning.”
Ms. Sweeney’s jewelry designs are sold in three retail shops in Pennsylvania as well as one shop in Kentucky. With Good Intention, LLC, also hosts its own Etsy.com shop, where potential customers can have access to all of Ms. Sweeney’s designs. “The inspiration for my work comes from my family, faith and continuously growing appreciation for yoga,” she said. “I love working with a variety of natural gemstones and vibrantly colored silk thread to create unique pieces.”
Several of Ms. Sweeney’s products are designed with charitable ideals in mind, including a bracelet titled “Building Hope for Haiti Mala Bracelet.” Half of the proceeds from the sales of the bracelet will go toward the building of a new school in Haiti. “My vision is philanthropic in nature as I hope to be able to give back to charitable organizations here and across the globe,” Ms. Sweeney said.
