Professional Women at Binghamton, NY Held Vendor Showcase at NAPW Binghamton Local Chapter Networking Event in July
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Members and guests of the NAPW Binghamton, NY Local Chapter gathered on July 31st for a professional networking meeting at the Olive Garden in Vestal, NY.
During the evening, the group of professional women had the opportunity to showcase their businesses and learn more about each other’s professional endeavors.
Members and guests also made exciting future plans for the Chapter, including finalizing details for next month’s “Walk & Talk” meeting to be held outdoors on the Vestal Rail Trail.
NAPW Binghamton Local Chapter President Domonica Creeley kicked off the meeting with a warm welcome to all of the attendees. She invited the group of professional women to introduce themselves.
“Everyone took a turn and talked about why they joined NAPW and what they were hoping to gain from this experience,” said President Creeley.
“Networking with other like-minded professional women was the top reason for attending Chapter meetings.”
The Chapter President led a discussion about open Chapter business, including holding an outdoor or family event in the future, as well as ideas and suggestions for speakers, themes and venues for upcoming meetings.
“It was decided that we would host a ‘Women in Motion’ meeting next month at Vestal Rail trail,” said Chapter President Domonica Creeley.
“It will be a wonderful way for members and guests to enjoy the outdoors and connect with one another and learn more about each other’s businesses.”
The Binghamton Local Chapter’s first outdoor meeting will be on August 21st at 6:00pm at the Vestal Rail trail; a well-kept walking/running paved path that has plenty of areas to stop and rest along the way.
Members and guests were advised to dress accordingly and bring plenty of business cards to share.
“As we are walking and enjoying the fresh air, we will also discuss open business, upcoming meeting venues, guest speakers, and future chapter activities,” said the Chapter President.
The group of professional women will meet at the Vestal Rail Trail parking lot, located at the Vestal Shoppes (by Home Goods), the address to map this location is 2317 Vestal Parkway E, Vestal NY 1385). In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be moved to the Olive Garden at 1112 Vestal Parkway E, Vestal, NY 13850.
Members and guests also discussed the Chapter’s September meeting, whose theme is “Making a Difference,” i.e., making a difference in the community, making a difference in charities or making a difference in self and in business. The group will communicate via emails to continue to work the theme and decide on possible guest speakers.
Members in attendance were Marianne Kaufmann and Domonica Creeley. Guests in attendance were Debbie Saucke and Annette Snedaker.
Chapter member Marianne Kaufmann is a Project Manager/Technology Consultant at DTCC-The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, which specializes in global finances. She is currently involved with the Project Management Institute. DTCC - WINS. She is also a guild-certified Feldenkrais practitioner and a member of the Feldenkrais Guild of North America.
Binghamton Local Chapter President Domonica Creeley works for Groundwater Sciences Corporation as an administrative assistant. Groundwater Sciences Corporation’s principal services include hydrogeological consulting, focusing on solving complex groundwater and soil contamination problems and development of water resources for public and private use.
