NAPW St. Louis, MO Local Chapter Hit the Lanes for an Evening of Bowling and Networking in August
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- Members and guests of the NAPW St. Louis, MO Local Chapter gathered on August 19th for a professional networking meeting at Olivette Lanes, 9520 Olive Boulevard in St. Louis.
The group of professional women had fun bowling while they networked and set plans in motion for the Chapter’s upcoming October Breast Health Awareness event.
St. Louis Local Chapter President Lisa M. Pettis, Owner of REFORM, a personal training and health and wellness business, welcomed members and guests to the monthly networking event.
“It was a fun evening for members and guests,” said President Pettis. “They bowled, networked, got to know one another better and learned more about each other’s professions.”
The Chapter President led members and guests in a discussion about the upcoming St. Louis Chapter event in October in recognition of breast cancer awareness month.
“We talked about hosting the event at the location of a nonprofit such as Women in Transition or Almost Home,” said Chapter President Pettis. “There was also mention of having give-away items specific to the charity that hosts the event.”
During the networking portion of the evening, members Bridget G. Hoy, a litigation and trial attorney and LaDonna Turner, founder and CEO of Smart Ideas Consulting Firm, took some time to explain in detail what they do.
This gave the group of professional women the chance to have some personal legal issues addressed, such as whether to start as a profit or nonprofit organization, and learn how to safeguard their business logos.
The next St. Louis Local Chapter meeting will be on Monday, September 9th at 6:00pm. On the agenda is finalizing plans for the October event. For meeting updates, see the Chapter Facebook page.
