MALVERN, Pa., March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Addiction treatment is in the midst of unprecedented strain as treatment professionals and other clinicians seek new approaches to manage a range of addiction disorders and combat the national opioid epidemic. As part of HMP's ongoing efforts to provide professionals with practical, clinically relevant education to treat patients and improve outcomes, the National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD) today announced its expansion into two conferences – East and West – building upon NCAD's ten-year tradition of educational excellence:
NCAD East – August 15-18, 2019, Baltimore, MD
NCAD West – October 24-26, 2019, Denver, CO
While the objective of both meetings is to address addiction disorders, each has its own distinct focus.
NCAD East delivers a comprehensive clinical agenda that features a series of dedicated tracks, including one for executives and marketing professionals, offered in partnership with the Behavioral Health Association Providers (BHAP). More than 1,000 professionals are expected to participate to hear new research and share cross-discipline insight on forward-thinking topics such as medication-assisted treatment, benzodiazepine use, utilization of genetic information in treatment, and advances in treatment technologies.
The clinical agenda for NCAD West will focus on the convergence of traditional and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) strategies. Providers of MAT and traditional, or 12-Step treatment, will come together for powerful education and idea exchange centered on creating a patient-focused recovery-driven system of care.
