BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (PRWEB) August 29, 2019 -- MEA Energy Association (MEA) is offering its first-ever event specifically designed for human resources and talent management professionals who work in the energy industry. The event, aptly named the HR Energy Leaders Forum, is October 15-17 in Grand Rapids, Mich. at the John G Russell Leadership Center.
“Our members drive educational content based on situations in their professional lives," says MEA President Patrick Van Beek. “The group serving on the Talent Management Committee has identified a need to actively and effectively communicate the role of HR in creating a positive, inclusive, high performing, and safe workplace.” The presentations at the HR Energy Leaders Forum are geared to help individuals working in this area of energy delivery companies learn how to communicate those goals across departments.
Attendees will walk away with an expanded network and meet speakers representing energy companies from across the Midwest, including Consumers Energy, Black Hills Corporation, Ameren Illinois Company, and others. Featured topics include:
- Branding the industry to build your talent pipeline
- Shifting skills and needs for employees of the future
- Benchmarking HR department size and structure
- Supporting innovation to overcome disruptions in the industry
“This event gives HR leaders and professionals the chance to connect and trade ideas on a variety of critical industry issues facing HR today,” said a member of the MEA Talent Management Committee. “HR will play an enormous role in several key workforce areas in the years to come. We need to share our expertise and learn from our peers to help lead our companies into the future.”
The HR Energy Leaders Forum is designed around attendee participation, unlike many seminars and symposiums in the HR space. Don't miss this occasion to share your perspective and help further shape the future of the energy industry.. More information can be found at MEAenergy.org/HR.
The forum is sponsored by Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. a Division of MDU Resources Group, Inc. and will be hosted at the John G Russell Leadership Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.
