Mixed Roots Foundation Announces 2nd Annual ‘Adoptee Night’ with the LA Dodgers To Take Place During National Foster Care Month – Thursday, May 29th at 7:10 p.m.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- Mixed Roots Foundation is proud to celebrate its third year in organizing its signature Adoptee Night / Day sporting events with its inaugural event that took place in 2012 with the San Francisco Giants and later teamed up with the Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins, and most recently the MLS San Jose Earthquakes and now will host its 2nd Annual Adoptee Night with the Los Angeles Dodgers where they will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 7:10 p.m. Mixed Roots Foundation’s ultimate goal is to establish an Adoptee Night / Day at the beginning of each season with each major league sport spanning from the MLB, MLS, NFL, NASCAR, NBA, and NHL.
“It’s very exciting to see our signature Adoptee Night / Day sporting events grow,” said Emile Mack, Assistant Fire Chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department and Chair of Mixed Roots Foundation. “As a fellow adoptee, we hope through these special events, we can continue to educate the general public that adoption is not about the process, but it should be about the person. We want to inspire others by sharing our own experiences as well as be a voice for those touched by adoption and foster care that we all have unique needs just as any other group.”
“We are honored to partner with Mixed Roots Foundation again and host the 2nd Annual Adoptee Night during National Foster Care month,” said Garrett Thomas, Public Relations office of the Los Angeles Dodgers. “Los Angeles has the largest population of foster kids in the nation, so it is our duty that we give back to our local community and this event allows us to do just that. We look forward to this event being another great success, so we can continue to bring more attention to this important cause that touches so many lives here in Los Angeles.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers in partnership with Mixed Roots Foundation will donate a portion of all signature Adoptee Night ticket sales to benefit its local community partners that provide important programs and services to adoptees and their families. Tickets cost $25 which include special pregame activities such as VIP reception, silent auction and for a limited number of VIP guests – an opportunity to go out on the field. The first 40,000 fans will receive Dodger Fan Vote t-shirts and all Adoptee Night ticket holders will receive a signature Adoptee Night rally towel and t-shirt.
