NB Private Capital Announces New Hires for Accounting and Asset Management Teams
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (PRWEB) August 29, 2019 -- Southern California–based NB Private Capital, LLC (NBPC), a nationally recognized real estate firm specializing in student housing, has recently added new staff to assist with its growing portfolio of properties. Mark Antoun, James Hogen and Christine Wu will hold positions in accounting and asset management.
In the newly created position of corporate accounting manager, Mark Antoun brings more than 10 years of experience in budgeting, accounting and operations. He began his career as a night auditor with Perflag Hotels LTD in London and quickly moved up the ranks to a property accounting supervisor responsible for overseeing eight staff accountants. During his tenure, his position entailed training, creating and developing processes and the implementation of accounting procedures. Most recently, he worked in accounting and management positions for SmartStop Assets in Ladera Ranch, California.
At NBPC, Antoun will be managing the preparation and delivery of corporate annual reports, monthly investor distributions and daily accounting, including accounts payable/receivables, cash management, budget and forecast analysis. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Alexandria University in Egypt and has an MBA from Preston University in Alabama with an emphasis in marketing.
As senior vice president of asset management, James Hogen will oversee the asset management of several student housing properties in the NB Private Capital portfolio. He has over 13 years of institutional Class-A multifamily asset management experience and specializes in the student housing asset class.
Before joining NBPC, Hogen established an asset management program for a high-growth $500M student and senior portfolio encompassing over 3,000 apartment beds. The portfolio delivered both yield and capital appreciation to investors. Over the course of his career, he has covered an institutional multifamily asset management portfolio of over 7,500 units of core, value-add and development assets. His experience also includes managing analytics and valuation for over $3B of institutional medical office, retail, industrial, office and multifamily assets. He holds a BS in finance from the University of Maryland at College Park and is an LEED AP.
As a senior accountant, Christine Wu will ensure the integrity of NBPC’s accounting information. A graduate of California State University with a BS in accounting, Wu has three years of experience of progressive accounting experience. Her career began with a staff accountant position at ILY Enterprise Inc. In her position as a property accountant at SmartStop Assets Management, she prepared monthly financial packages for 20 properties with variances analysis, supported integration of new acquisitions and helped coordinate all property tax payments.
