NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open
NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame will honor NC women who have made a significant impact on the business community
RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Carnela Hill, President-Elect of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Raleigh Chapter, a local avenue for women entrepreneurs of large and small businesses to connect with their peers, and Wendy Coulter, Founder of the NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame and Immediate Past President of NAWBO Greater Raleigh, have announced that nominations are open for the 2020 NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame. Founded in 2018, the NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame honors North Carolina's most successful female entrepreneurs and advocates who have made significant and enduring contributions for women's entrepreneurial development in North Carolina.
Nominations are now open and run through March 15, 2020 at http://ncwbohalloffame.org/. This initiative is in coordination with NAWBO Greater Raleigh, NAWBO Charlotte, the Small Business Administration (SBA), National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Bank of America and many other North Carolina organizations.
Inductees to the NC Women Business Owners Hall of Fame must meet the criteria stated on the website. Consideration of potential inductees requires that their efforts, accomplishments and impact be documented and widely honored.
A gala to announce the 2020 inductees will be held in Raleigh, NC in June, and will be hosted by NAWBO Greater Raleigh.
The past inductees to the North Carolina Women Business Owners Hall of Fame include: Ann Bailey, Cindy Eckert, Andrea Harris, Nancy McFarlane, Fabi Preslar, Ashley Thomas, Leah Brown, Mary Cantando, Linda Craft, Barksdale "Dale" Halton, Elizabeth Nisbet Miller, Sheila Hale Ogle, Gloria Shealey, Janice Bryant Howroyd, Sara Garces Roselli, Mildred Council ("Mama Dip"), and Secretary of State Elaine Marshall.
