There is nothing like racing in a Challenge Cup … With more than 30 trucks on the track fighting for position, there is little room for mistakes ... when we get to the end of this this thing, hopefully we’ll be in contention to race for the win.

The stage is set for the conclusion of the 2014 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season as Team 4 Wheel Parts competitor Greg Adler rolls into Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, CA for Championship Weekend. With Round 14 being postponed until this weekend due to inclement weather, Adler and his team will be fielding both the #10 Pro 2 and Pro 4 trucks in a total of five events in two classes Oct. 24 and 25, including the always-entertaining Lucas Oil Challenge Cup.

“I’m looking forward to a busy weekend at the track. With two rounds of racing left on top of the Challenge Cup, this team is going to have its hands full,” said Adler. He continued, “We had a great run in the Pro 4 at Vegas and brought home a trophy. Now, at Elsinore we have a shot at earning some valuable points, making another trip to the podium and finishing the season strong.”

Adler will kick off the weekend in his Pro 2 and Pro 4 trucks Friday night under the lights, followed by another set of Pro 2 and Pro 4 races Saturday morning to conclude the season’s points championship battle. The team will then prepare for the evening’s Challenge Cup – a race that pits the Pro 2 and Pro 4 field against each other on the track at the same time in a one race shoot-out for high horsepower Unlimited Class supremacy. While a fan favorite, the Challenge Cup traditionally evolves into a 30,000 horse-powered slugfest as competitors leave everything on the track in seeking the Challenge Cup Title and winner-take-all paycheck.

“There is nothing like racing in a Challenge Cup,” said Adler. “With more than 30 trucks on the track fighting for position, there is little room for mistakes. We’re going to do the best we can to work our way through the pack and when we get to the end of this thing, hopefully we’ll be in contention to race for the win.”

Those who can’t be there to catch the carnage live will be able to see all the action on CBS, CBS Sports Network and MavTV.
