Sunset Finances Weigh in on New Japanese Space Burials
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 05, 2013 -- Sunset Finances today issued their opinion and statement on a new service being offered by Elysium Space Inc. to send a portion of somebody’s cremated remains into orbit around the earth.
According to a September 30th Bloomberg article titled, "Space Burials at $1,990 Give Aging Japan Cheaper Funeral Option," author Kanoko Matsuyama reported that the company Elysium Space Inc. has just rolled out a new burial option service available in Japan. The article stated that a gram of the deceased’s remains will be placed into an aluminum capsule which will circle the earth for a period of months before it re-enters the earth’s atmosphere, at which point it will blaze "as a shooting star."
Matsuyama reported that the cost for such a service is $1,990, which is a drop in the bucket compared to the traditional burial costs, roughly $27,400 including purchase of plot and tomb stone (equivalent to about 2.7 million yen.)
Sunset Finances complimented Elysium on such a unique and innovative sendoff. Sunset Finances is quoted as saying, "This type of farewell effectively reduces the cost of a plot and tombstone, while at the same time providing the family with the sense that they’ve really given their loved one a one-of-a-kind sendoff. We think it’s something that will increase in popularity and begin being offered in other countries soon."
Sunset Finances encouraged consumers to consider what type of memorial, burial, cremation or farewell celebration they would like to have ahead of time. Making preparations and decisions in advance saves loved ones from needing to make emotional choices and question whether what they have decided is what the deceased would have wanted. SunsetFinances.com encourages consumers who are looking to learn more about options for funding their own funeral at their death, to start researching early.
