New book features a deceased teen who sends letters to his family after overdosing
Ariane Eya announces publication of 'Letters from Cody.'
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Conveying an explosion of emotion as a teenager commits suicide via drug use because of a family matter, "Letters from Cody: A Young Fentanyl Victim's Letters to His Mom from Heaven" (published by Balboa Press AU) by Ariane Eya calls attention to this underlying issue of American's opiate overdose epidemic.
In the book, Eya narrates this story through her late son writing letters from heaven after his early death due to Fentanyl. "We have to change how we treat drug users today," Eya says. "Morally we have to stop blaming those thousands of victims of family abuse (who take drugs to cope mainly). Most suicidal teens use drugs mainly to die, recklessly and desperately calling for help, as they can't handle the pressures we put on them societally and through our own value sets."
Through a series of more than 60 letters Eya is reflecting Cody's thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships while he was alive. The book also offers insight into the perils of drug addiction and life after death.
