New Book Features ‘Heartache and Hope’ in a ‘Unique’ Adoption Story
LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) June 17, 2019 -- Suzanne H. Fabbi, M.Ed., explores the ordeal that families go through when giving up a child for adoption or welcoming a member to their family in this partly fictionalized account entitled “In Search of My True Identity: A Journey from Disillusionment and Despair to Hope and Fulfillment” (published by Balboa Press).
An adoption story, the book is told from three perspectives: the birth mother, the adoptive parents and the adoptee. A mentally ill divorcee becomes pregnant for the second time out of wedlock. Fearing reprisal from family, she moves with her two sons to have the baby and put it up for adoption. Married for 18 years, one barren couple who had lost hope of ever having a child are given the opportunity to adopt the baby. Later, after 40 years of wondering and waiting, the adoptee is given information that enables her to find her birth family.
“I want my readers to know that hope and fulfillment can come out of disillusionment and despair,” Fabbi says.
